The seasons are shifting.  June has arrived and that means that summer is here.  After a long winter and a spring full of lingering storm days and relatively cold weather, I'm definitely looking forward to warmer days.  It is the perfect change for me when I'm still working on snow related projects during the summer months.  In my office I have a sense of winter, mtns, and skiing as I'm editing video and writing, so it is nice that I can still step outside at any given time and remind myself of what the current time of year really is.

The holiday weekend was a pleasant surprise.  A perfect time to reconnect with family and friends and enjoy some time away from the desk.  The work week is here though and It is time to get back to the grind.  This week I'm focusing my efforts on getting my working rough cut of the movie trailer finished and prepped to share with everyone.  I've shown the working version to some close friends and if their reaction is any indication, I think that it should bring some good stoke to everyone out there. Once it goes live, I'm looking forward to putting the tour together for the fall and getting the full version in front of people.

Check out a little Trailer Teaser:

Last week I also had the chance to immortalize a piece of my past, my first pair of telemark skis, the Europa 99s by way of a tattoo.  Although the Europa 99s were created long before I actually ever started telemark skiing, they were what I had sitting in my garage when I was 14 years old and decided that I wanted to try this drop-knee turn I'd read about in a book.  Almost 18 years later I decided that I needed to pay tribute to the shred sticks that have brought me so many good friends, travels, and memories.  Thanks to Pat Delvar @ Good Times Tattoo in Salt Lake City for making it happen.

I'll be sure to chime in again next week and hopefully have some more news and stories as things progress with the movie project, etc.

thanks for reading.
